Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/11 18:09 Hi Guys,

Just some early feedback (you haven't even released it yet and i'm already complaining )...

The speed of the menus in the Admin looks pretty the way the drop down and slide, however it is a PITA for someone like myself who just wants to get in there and get things done. I find myself waiting on the menu far to much when trying to browse through content sections, components and modules.

Is there a value I can change or a way to speed this up so it is pretty much instantaneous?

Regards,

.Joel

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/11 23:55 Thanks for the feedback. I had it set at 250ms so I dropped to 100ms for you. Lets see how that plays in the first release and we can adjust accordingly. http://brilaps.com

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/13 03:10 I have to agree. As a developer I know exactly where I want to go and although very pretty it is very frustrating to have to wait on the menu to dropdown before clicking.

Perhaps a setting in the global config that allows the feature to be turned on or off depending on user preference. It is a nice effect though.

Thanks!
David

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/14 02:51 I downloaded Mia yesterday and found the menus slow. They should slide quicker, IMO.

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/14 03:01 i wonder, if we should take out the 100 ms delay entirely ??? http://brilaps.com || http://blog.ocszone.com || http://miacms.org

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/14 03:33 I like the sliding effect, you guys should leave it if it's made to slide faster so it does not become an issue when you're in the admin trying to get your work done.

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/14 14:08 Hey everyone,

Here you go... Here is a link to the Menu script in SVN. On line 28 I have the hidedelay. Find this file in your installation and play around with that hidedelay setting. It is in milliseconds. If we can all agree or come close to an agreement on the right setting I am happy to change for future release and if you really want something different you now know where to adjust it for your installation. If opinions vary that much then I will make it a global option down the line.

Actually this sounds like a sort of a good idea

Menus a little fustrating - 2008/05/24 12:56 Hello All...

I have little info related administration Menu:

On Opera and MSIE, MiaCMS menu loads "little slowly" but, it loads normally with Netscape Navigator 9.

Since I knew and I hope that it's about browser compatibility, I don't really matter with Mia administration so I keep use Netscape Nav 9 to admin my Mia at localhost.
